Does anyone around here use IRC?
It's pretty easy to find registration codes to get the full version of mIRC, which is what I'm using now, and I've just started using it.
I just think if might be an idea, since IRC rooms are like mini chat rooms, for us to set our own one up. This would be more beneficial if we had more ppl, obviously, as the chances of anyone being online at any given time are slim, but it is a great place for members to chat with each other, and we get more serious, I can give you live updates on how far the results are from being completed etc.
Just a thought. I need to set my server PC up again (and find a non-120 day trial version of Server 2003 to do so, hopefully) but I could set up an IRC server on that easily enough if we think it's a good idea. And even if we don't set up our own server, all you need to do to make a channel yourself is join one that doesn't exist, and it creates one for you... lol.
Give me your thoughts.
